Adventure Development delivers two programmes to young people aged 19 and under. Alcohol and Drug Counselling (2 FTE) and Adventure Development Counselling (1.5 FTE). They are based in Invercargill and have a District Wide contract.
The service includes alcohol and drug assessment, intervention, treatment and referral. The programme also includes adventure, wilderness and experiential activities as part of the therapeutic intervention. Anyone can refer to the service, including Child, Youth and Family, Mental Health and AOD services, schools, GPs and self-referral.
