Mental Health Sector Profile - Maori Providers
The Southland District Health Board has contracts with a number of Maori providers who deliver a range of community based, specialist mental health services to Maori in Southland. These include alcohol and drug services to young people (Rangitahi) and adults, needs assessment, accommodation and programmes aimed at targeting at-risk youth. Maori providers are also represented on the Future Directions Mental Health Network and provide an insight into mental health issues affecting Maori consumers, families and communities.
